Kabeli is named after a river in Taplejung, in eastern Nepal.

The company is based in Kathmandu. That is where the meetings, hiring, planning, and much of the technology work may happen. But the name points somewhere else too.

It points to the fact that serious work in Nepal does not belong only to the capital.
