A claim is a request for an insurer to pay or provide a benefit following an event believed to be covered. Submitting a claim does not itself establish entitlement; the insurer checks the event, coverage, evidence, and amount. Different products require different documents and assessment methods.

In Nepal, promptly notify the insurer and preserve bills, photographs, reports, or death documentation as appropriate. Follow the contract's reporting conditions and keep copies of submissions. A surveyor's assessment or hospital bill can support the claim, but the insurance policy determines which costs qualify.
